Concealed Pistol Licensing (CPL) Requirements and Process
If you live in the Kalama City Limits, you may apply for a CPL at the Kalama Police Department. If you live outside the City Limits, please contact the Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office at 360-577-3092.
CPL's are processed by appointment only. You can fill out the application in advance and bring it with you to your appointment. Click here to download the application.

Qualifications:
Conditions that may prevent the ability to obtain a CPL are listed in RCW 9.41.070 and 18 USC Ch. 44
License Requirements:
You must be 21 years of age at the time of the application.
You must be a United States citizen or have a valid Alien Firearms Certificate from the State of Washington Division of Professional Licensing in Olympia
You must live in the city of Kalama.
You must be eligible to own firearms under RCW 9.41.040 and 9.41.045
You must not have a court order or injunction against possessing firearms
You must not be pending trial, appeal or sentencing on a felony offense
You must not have an order to forfeit firearms within the last year
You must not have any outstanding warrants for any charge, from any court
You must provide picture identification
